Bonnie Tyler's 1983 hit record Faster Than The Speed Of Night (which
includes the huge hit "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" as well as her covers of the Creedence
Clearwater Revival hit "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" and the Bryan Adams hit "Straight From The Heart") included such superstars as Rick
Derringer, Max Weinberg, Paul Shaffer, Will Lee and Jim
Steinman.
- In the 60s and 70s, Rick Derringer was in The McCoys who had the smash hit "Hang On
Sloopy" in 1965.
- Drummer Max Weinberg is the drummer for The Max Weinberg 7 who is the house band for
The Conan O'Brien show. Max was also the long time drummer for Bruce Springsteen and The E
Street Band.
- Paul Shaffer is the bandleader/keyboardist of The CBS Orchestra on the Late Show with
David Letterman. He has also worked with big names such as Gilda Radner, The Blues Brothers,
Dion, Ben E. King, Wilson Pickett, Irene Cara, Yoko Ono, Diana Ross, Billy Crystal, Barry Manilow, Joe Walsh, Paul Rodgers, Blues Traveler and many, many more.
- Will Lee is the bassist of the band on The Late Show with David Letterman formerly known as The World's Most Dangerous Band.
- Jim Steinman is a producer, composer, and vocalist (among many other things). He is probably best known
for his work with Meat Loaf, having written every song on Meat Loaf's most successful
album Bat Out Of Hell.
